Leslie Warner – Secretary/Treasurer
I began my journey with FSA as a COT in 2010. I received an animal science degree from MSU (go green!), and a master’s degree from University of Illinois in crop science. Before joining FSA I worked for NorthStar Cooperative. My CED career began in Van Buren County; in 2016 I had the opportunity to move closer home by transitioning to be the Ionia CED. Currently, I live on a small farm that is adjacent to my family’s farm, where we raise goats, sheep and one very spoiled cow.
I have been the MASCOE Secretary-Treasurer since 2011 when I filled in temporarily after the former Secretary-Treasurer Blain Becktold (former CED in Ottawa County) retired. After working with the executive board for a few months, I was hooked! I greatly value MASCOE as a means to better know our co-workers from across the state, and am appreciative of the positive approach that the association takes in solving problems and directing meaningful change.
Benita Meekhof – Former President
I began with FSA in January of 2003 as a Temporary PT in the Cadillac office. After three years, I became a permeant PT and was there until April of 2015. After that, I completed the COT program and I am now a CED is the Scottville FSA office. My husband and I have two teenage boys and we enjoy spending time with them in the great outdoors, exploring trails and never slowing down.
